Personal Background: I was born in Pensacola, Florida on January 22, 1982. Shortly after, my family moved to Amarillo, TX. My biological brother was born a little over two years later.  I also have three steps brothers and a biological sister.  My life prior to becoming a missionary was working in the oilfield.  I worked for companies such Halliburton as well as on drilling rigs for various drilling contractors.

Working in the oil patch was not what I wanted to do. I spent many nights with this thought running through my head: How can I spend my time serving the Lord? I have felt this call for many years. I just wasn't sure how to do God’s will.

I left the oil field and spent three months in Canada to stay with a Catholic community called the

Madonna House. At this community we had morning Lauds/Vespers every day, as well as daily mass. Our daily chores consisted of working on the farm with duties consisting of: cleaning out the barn where the cattle stayed during the winter, feeding the cattle, milking the cows twice a day, gathering eggs, feeding the chickens and sheep, and chopping trees down for firewood to keep the 100+ guests warm during the cold winters. This time at the Madonna House was life changing. It allowed me the space and time to listen to how God speaks to us. Then and there was the changing point and strength I needed to find my true purpose.

Passions & Interests: Family, music, quiet time, hunting and fishing, making people feel loved, laughing and playing around with my niece and nephews. Those little ones teach me something new every time I see them.

How did you become involved with CCFM and why? While during my stay at the Madonna House, I met a couple of men I now call my brothers who helped form my heart and mind. They encouraged me by lifting me up through prayer and regular conversation. One of the guys actually lived near me so we stayed in touch as I still do today with all those gentleman. I opened up to him about what was on my heart and the people to whom I wanted to minister to. After spending time praying and searching, my friend introduced me to Matt Rice, the founder of CCFM.

I am getting involved to be the bridge between parents and youth, with a large emphasis on fathers and the struggle of parenting. I have found that parents are truly searching and looking for places and opportunities to further their faith and the faith of their children. We as men are not alone in our struggle to provide the essential needs of our children.
